Jo Braham is a second generation barbershopper and brings to The MIX a wealth of knowledge and experience (or so she says) that she has gained since joining LABBS in 1986. Her first convention as an attendee, albeit a very small attendee, was in 1977 where she marvelled at performances from the big names of the day, most of whom are still around and continue to inspire Jo in her barbershop career.
Jo has previously struck gold in quartet with Crackerjack in 1999 then with After Hours in 2006. She was also a member of the very successful White Rosettes from Leeds for 18 years, before she left in December 2010 to literally take up ‘the baton’ and become Musical Director of Cheshire Chord Company in Warrington from January 2011. A history of 7 gold and 2 silver medals with the Rosettes stood her in good stead to take Cheshire Chord to their first LABBS championship with Jo at the helm winning Gold in 2012. One for which Jo is very proud to call her first as their Musical Director.
Jo enjoys spending time at home with husband Tim and their two children, Hannah & Jamie. She works for a local Secondary Academy as a Business & Enterprise Assistant which takes her off in all directions on school trips and events, most of which she’s organised herself!
