The MIX Quartet

2013 European and LABBS 2012 Quartet Champions

We are a Mix by name and also by nature, having sprung from a muddle of quartets (Eu4ia, After Hours and LipSync), choruses (Cheshire Chord and Heartbeat) and personalities (2 normal and 2 bonkers… you choose which is which).

Sandra Lea-Riley sings bass, Nancy Kelsall baritone, Jo Braham lead and Andrea Day tenor; between us we are proud owners of at least 36 (the adding up became confusing for us) gold quartet and chorus medals from European, LABBS and Sweet Adeline conventions.

We formed at the start of 2012. In October that year we were proud to become LABBS Quartet Champions with the highest ever cumulative winning score.  This win qualified us to represent LABBS at the European Quartet championships in Holland in March 2013, where we were ecstatic to be crowned European Quartet champions (and win more gold medals, which we think are included in the 36 mentioned above, but as we say we get confused with numbers).

We hope to entertain the audience with great music and comedy, though we have to keep Jo on a short rein due to her propensity at the drop of a hat to start telling jokes.

The MIX’s diary is always open and they would love to offer their singing services as guests on your show or any part of an event that you are planning. Please visit the bookings page to get in touch.
